LSU Pool 2013 ~ 22x30 Oil on Canvas

This Oil was painted from several photographs Katie took. She painted it on our back porch AND in our living room on our beautiful coffee table over our oriental rug (!!)
for a college assignment. I think the way she did the pool walk area is amazing.

Ceelo 2012 ~ 20x24 Acryllic on Gallery Wrap Canvas
What is funny to me about this particular painting is that it was done while Katie was living in a very small apartment on the LSU campus. I brought something to her and 'he' was on her easel. Since she worked for a nearby restaurant I assumed it was a friend she had made in the kitchen. The intensity in his eyes scares me. I'm not sure who it really was.
Since then, she named him Ceelo.

Katie is not a "Groucho" but could not resist posting this photo which was snapped of her wearing Groucho Marx's glasses.

"Goldie"

A much younger Katie in the pool. As a little girl she loved to "fwim" with her dad.

As a young adult, she painted this fish (feesh) called Goldie.

Merry Christmas Michael 2009

We are all awaiting Katies' new paintings. Thumpie just seems to be her favorite subject to paint. Since last summer she had wanted to paint something for Michael. Her original idea changed. She paints with love and cannot get started until she has most of it worked out in her mind. This is her third Thumpie and thwre is texture in part of the background. I definitely think Michael felt he came away from Christmas with the best gift.
